NASHVILLE, TN - (September 26, 2012) - One of the top 10 Christian bands for over a decade, Fervent Record's Big Daddy Weave, has just added another No. 1 to their record with "Redeemed." The single, their second release from Love Come to Life, proves to also be a big hit on YouTube as the music video is closing in on 700,000 views. "Redeemed" is the follow up to "Love Come to Life" which reached No. 1 in early 2012.
"Redeemed," written by Mike Weaver and Benji Cowart, comes from a difficult time in Weaver's life. "I was really at a low point, struggling with my imperfections," he says. "I felt like God said to my spirit, 'Why don't you let me tell you what I think about you and what I like about you?' He started with, 'I love your heart for people,' and went from there. I was like a broken heap on the floor of my garage. The things He was talking about were not future tense things. He has this 'I love who you are right now' mentality. 'I accept you right now; you need to accept you right now.'"
The single has clearly struck a chord with many people as, in under a year, it is already the third best-selling song they have had since their formation in 2002. Weaver also commented on the great reception of the song, "So humbled by how this song has been received by folks all over the place. It is a huge confirmation from God in my life that He loves to use brokenness. What we see as weakness and personal failure He can turn into victory if we are willing to lay it at his feet."
On September 20, Big Daddy Weave embarked on "The Redeemed Tour." Recording artist Aaron Shust is also on the tour which is scheduled to hit the following cities:
